THE BACKSTORY
CREATOR
Hi, I’m Jessica, the creative behind Kaleidostone Jewelry. I’m the quintessential “Late Bloomer Lesbian”. I found myself married, a mom, and in my mid-thirties when I finally acknowledged my love of women. (Shout out to Edie and Amanda from “Almost Family” for help with that!)
My life changed significantly over the next couple years as I slowly came out to the important people in my life. During this transitional time, the pride flag became a symbol of safety and community for me. Seeing others wear it inspired feelings of solidarity within me and gave me the courage to ultimately come out publicly.

ORIGINS
As a lesbian myself, I love wearing symbols of my identity. I was looking for a comfortable, high quality lesbian flag bracelet and wasn’t coming up with many options. So I made one myself with dyed stone beads from a local craft store. Disappointingly, the colors faded quickly and I was back to square one.
This time, after much research, I located a high quality semi-precious gemstone supplier and ordered beads to make another lesbian flag bracelet. When the beads arrived I was shocked at their vibrancy and quality. I knew I couldn’t keep these beauties to myself and the idea of Kaleidostone Jewelry was born.
MISSION
My mission is to provide fellow members of the LGBTQ+ community with a wearable reminder of our value as unique individuals and support us in achieving a greater sense of self and belonging through that visual reminder. We, like the dazzling, semi-precious gemstones in the bracelet, are stunning in our most genuine form.
The gemstones in every bracelet are thoughtfully hand-chosen to match the colors of the pride flags they represent. All gemstone beads are 100% natural. Dyed, altered, and synthetic stone materials are never used.
